The WVMC laboratory processes an average of 800 specimens a day. Qualimed has a newly-opened molecular laboratory capable of performing RT-PCR test – a welcome addition to the Western Visayas Medical Center (WVMC) sub-national laboratory which is slow in releasing test results due to the sheer number of specimens it has to analyze from all over Panay and Guimaras islands. ILOILO – The provincial government is seeking a faster release of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) test results of locally stranded individuals (LSIs).center_img A faster release of test results would lead to faster action on the part of concerned local government units in case an LSI is found to be positive for SARS CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, said Trabado. According to Dr. Grace Patricia Trabado, head of the Provincial Health Office, LSIs may use their PhilHealth insurance for the RT-PCR test at Qualimed. “Also, mapagwa dayun sa quarantine facility ang LSIs nga negative.  Ma-decongest ang mga beds and rooms to accommodate those nga positive. Gina-anticipate naton more LSIs are returning to Iloilo,” added Trabado.  “Ang gin-instruct ni Governor(Arthur Defensor Jr.) for LSIs with PhilHealth, puede sila PCR testing in the private hospital and laboratory bangod makabulig mangin madasig ang paggwa sang result,” said Trabado. Trabado said their RT-PCR test would be conducted for free at the WVMC sub-national laboratory but they have to wait longer for the result, and that means they have to stay longer in quarantine facilities./PNlast_img read more

Mystery object is a wave glider but who owns it?

first_imgDonegal County Council were left baffled this week when a surfboard-like object was removed from water to a Donegal beach. It was big too, appearing to measure roughly six foot in length. The unusual discovery was made by volunteers of the Irish Coast Guard on Wednesday (September 11) from the beach in Ballyheirnan, Fanad. The object, which has since been identified as a wave glider, is described as having a full-length solar panel on its upper side and what appears to be a recording unit housed in a plastic casing. The council are keen to return the item to its owner as they might be keen to retrieve any information stored in the unit. Donegal County Council said: “We need your help!!“We are trying to find the owners of this unusual object which was removed from the beach in Ballyheirnan, Fanad on  September 11 by volunteers from the Irish Coast Guard.”If this is your wave glider or you know who it belongs to, you can contact 074 91 53900.Mystery object is a wave glider but who owns it?  was last modified: September 18th, 2019 by Shaun KeenanShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)last_img read more

Can QPR push for promotion this season?

first_imgQPR currently sit in fifth place after the first 12 games of the 2019/20 Championship season.BettingLounge notes that QPR are currently the 11th favourite to get promoted this season, with the best price at 12/1 with William Hill, but is it a realistic possibility? The Rs will have to improve their defensive record if they are to mount a successful promotion push. Only two teams in the league have conceded more goals (21) than QPR so far, and both of those sides currently sit at the bottom of the table (Barnsley & Stoke City). But, QPR has been prolific in front of goal, scoring 21 goals in their opening 12 games which is the third-highest in the league. In fact, three players have scored 18 of those 21 goals between them. Jordan Hugill, Nahki Wells, and Eberechi Eze are all in fine scoring form, with six goals each.Eberechi Eze has scored three of his six goals in his last two matches while winning and converting two penalties in the 3-2 win over Hull City last time out.Eze has been a star player in the opening 12 games and currently sits in WhoScored’s Championship best XI, with a 7.6 overall rating (the highest overall average rating in the Championship so far), and he has scored three goals in his last two games. However, QPR still has a lot to improve if they are going to push for promotion. They are yet to keep a clean sheet in their opening 12 fixtures, and they have lost against other promotion hopefuls in West Brom, Cardiff, Swansea, and Bristol City while conceding 10 goals in those 4 games and only scoring 1.Without positive results against strong teams in the league, it is unrealistic to hope for automatic promotion, but it is still early in the season, and if QPR can tighten up at the back, it is certainly not out of the question.
